Case Studies
Case Study 1
The revival of a derelict 2 bedroomed cottage circa 1920.
Complete renovation carried out, including a light and airy single storey extension to the rear creating a large kitchen/breakfast room with full underfloor heating.
Additionally a 2 storey side extension was carried out to create a further 2 bedrooms to the first floor and an underfloor heated living room on the ground floor.
The existing roof was completely removed and replaced with bespoke trusses to accommodate 2 further bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a family bathroom. Finished with hand made clay plain tiles to complement the surrounding landscape.
Sympathetically designed by Lloyd Bowers architect to create modern living within a run down building, whilst retaining many original features.
Case Study 2
Lloyd Bowers were appointed to construct this Green Oak framed garden room.
The complete build was created in a traditional manner including many mortice and tennon joints all hand cut on site by our team of highly skilled craftsman. Using locally sourced reclaimed tiles for the roof and cladded externally with air dried oak featheredged boarding all to meet clients full satisfaction and local building control requirements.
This project was finished within the specified time and budget under our ‘small works contract’.
